The Mystical Art Of Parenting
The realization of our spiritual connection with the world would bring the dawn of a million truth which were hiding in plain sight. We would understand how we are just the medium to bring our kids to the world. Just like sound traveling through air from point A to point B. Air is but just a medium. Our kids are the neophyte transgressors of Truth. They are the change the world deserves against greed and hypocrisy. Our job is to raise them to see the world in the way it should be seen and understood. We need to be aware that we are not raising another cog in the machine whose sole purpose is to turn days into cycles of cyclic progress.
The advancement in scientific research and technology gives us the feeling that everything is in our grasp and we somehow can control everything. We amass information but have zero knowledge. We wish comfortable and luxurious life for our children and ensure they are treated with enviable happiness. We give them the unjust picture that wealth and power are what a human should strive for. This causes the behavioral issues we see in the next-gen. They have been provided for with comfort with such an ease they fail to relate or acknowledge struggle. Their social interactions are so dependent on technology that they fail to realize the power of looking someone eye to eye and talking whilst holding their hands.
So how to win at parenting? Well, first we should shake the very foundation of the ideology that the only way to survive in the world is by amassing power and wealth. We need to create a Universe that is made of respect, kindness and love. We need to change our outlook to change the outlook of our kids. We need to remember that if we are judging their every move, they are judging ours too. This is the root cause of all the chaos between the present generation parents and kids. Parental goals should be encouraging mistakes so that the kids can learn forgiveness, learn the importance of struggle, how and why not to make the mistakes again. It should be about raising them in an environment where gadgets and social networking takes a back seat because they fail to bring the warmth and beauty of love that exists when we gather and sit down at the dining table or in the backyard or in the attic or in the middle of nowhere under the starry sky and just feel the oneness with the Universe and live a truly adventurous life. Let them see a positive world. Let them know that their purpose is to remove the negativity.
